Pro-Source 1500 UPS
Designed by PC Power & Cooling to be fully compatible with all PC Power and OCZ brand PSUs, the Pro-Source 1500 UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is your ultimate source of back-up power. The Pro-Source utilizes a pure sine wave, versus the conventional “step” sine wave employed by lesser quality UPS units. A pure sine wave is essential to a professional-grade back-up power source, while an inferior “step” sine wave plays havoc with today’s sophisticated and sensitive power factor correction (PFC) circuitry, making it possible for your PSU to reject the back-up power source and shut down. A professional UPS should output the same quality of power that your utility line delivers, and the Pro-Source 1500VA does just that, providing a clean, pure sine wave to effectively power your high-performance PSU during a utility failure. Truly protect your high performance, enthusiast, and mission-critical system with a PC Power & Cooling Pro-Source.
With a history of almost 25 years building long-lasting, investment-grade PSUs, PC Power built the Pro-Source 1500 using the highest quality components and circuitry. Delivering continuous power to your high-performance PSU, the Pro-Source offers one of the industry's most powerful yet affordable high-end UPS solutions on the market.

|"Pro-Source is PCP&C’s line of uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes). This particular model is a 1,500VA unit (1,440VA with a standard plug) capable of delivering 900 watts, which should be more than enough for an enthusiast system not running under an insane load. At 900W, expect three minutes of runtime; at half-load expect 12 minutes. The three 12V, 7Ah rechargeable batteries are fairly simple to replace, and the UPS runs at 97% efficiency while on AC power. I also like that PCP&C bundles remote management software so you can use the Pro-Source’s USB port to check on battery levels or respond to emailed outage alerts."

|"If you own a high-end or otherwise mission critical system, we have no hesitation in recommending a Pure Sine Wave unit. We can't overlook how well the Pro-Source performed. As expected, it kept our mid-range system up and running with plenty of time to tie up any loose ends before shutting down. More surprising was how well it handled two higher end systems, keeping both zipping along for nearly 10 minutes before running out of juice. That's impressive. We rated the Pro-Source highly because it did well in so many areas, if not falling just shy of an Editor's Choice award. PC Power & Cooling's Pro-Source delivers the cleanest power you're going to find in a UPS, and it has the muscle to handle high end systems.
|"The Pro-Source was spot on in every testing scenario we could come up with including the slightly insane "Let run a computer during the worst electrical storm of the year" test. The Pro-Source reliably shuts the computer down during power outages, protects against overvoltage, undervoltage, catastrophic power failure and shuts the rig down during power outages. Now if we could just get it to go to the fridge and get us a soda we'd marry it. The consistent excellent performance of the Pro-Source 1500 in the worst testing we could throw at it and the stable voltage it fed the test rigs during severe lightning storms earn it a 9.5 out of 10 and the Bjorn3D Golden Bear Award."
